Design with Heart: Giving Back Through Creativity

In the whirlwind of deadlines, clients, and content calendars, it’s easy to get caught up in the doing. But every so often, it’s important to pause, breathe, and ask ourselves: Am I creating space to give back to
what matters most to me?
At The Teal Pony, we believe design can do more than just look good—it can do good.
Over the years, I’ve found immense joy and purpose in using my creative skills to support causes that are close to my heart—especially in the world of animal rescue. Some of my favourite creative projects have been for RADAR Inc, a Riverina based Animal Rescue. Whether it’s designing social media graphics, adoption posters, event banners, merchandise or an overhaul of their branding and website, the chance to make a real impact through design fills my cup in a way nothing else can (not to mention the work with the animals!!).
It’s not about grand gestures. It’s about showing up. About finding small, meaningful ways to add value through the skills we already hold. For you, it might be your voice, your time, your hands, or your heart.
Giving back doesn’t have to take a lot—but it always gives so much.
